Sometimes I still watch live TV. Sometimes I like it.

I am just coming off 2 months where I have watched a lot of live TV. That would be the NFL playoffs and NFL Super Bowl.
Other than sports I don't watch much live TV. I almost don't even watch the local news anymore it's becoming repetitive and irrelevant. I think I'm allowed to say that I was in broadcast for 29 years.
It's not that I don't like live TV, it's just that I like choices and my viewing patterns are very different than when my favorite shows are on. Just by chance, I happened to catch the premiere episode on live TV of the masked singer.
What a joy it turned out to be. A singer came out and you could tell just by the voice it was a male and he was older. The entire judging panel was certain they knew who it was even though it was not unanimous. The guesses were Dustin Hoffman and Robert De Niro. The panel was certain. They had me convinced it was Dustin Hoffman.
Wrong. the name of the performer was not even guessed.
The identity was revealed with great surprise it was Dick Van Dyke. I knew Dick Van Dyke was old but I did not realize he was 97. Even more shocking after his identity was revealed he started singing and dancing to a song from Mary Poppins. How great it was to see the 97-year-old showman in such good shape and spirit.
